Goodbye, Molly. And thank you for everything ❤️

I’m too heartbroken to write much right now, but Molly deserves to be shared with the world.

She was meant to fall asleep at home on Friday, but today she took a sudden turn for the worse and had to be let go at the vet’s. She went very peacefully. I think she knew. I think she was ready.

Molly had a hard life before we found her. She raced, then was sold on and used for hunting, before being abandoned in a car park. She was adopted once, but returned.

We were her last chance.

For eight years, she gave us nothing but gratitude—in the quiet, gentle way only greyhounds do. She was the most tolerant, unassuming, and kind dog I’ve ever known. Her eyes were always full of thanks.

My last words to her were, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

I needed her to know how much she gave back to us.

She is now buried in a beautiful spot on my parents-in-law’s farm. As a Buddhist, I hope she is reborn into a better world than this one—or at least into a life that shows her the kindness she deserved from the very beginning.

She has left a paw-print-shaped hole in my heart that will never be filled.

Rest easy, sweet girl. 💔🐾
