Amazingly Animal Story - 41
When we lost our old pet, who was sick, we thought that we wouldn't adopt another pet. My wife told me our kids have grown up, and our lives have become busy, so we just wanted a peaceful life.
Then one day, our daughter brought home an adoptive event flyer. She said she just wanted to see if we could get an old cat that didn't require much care.
But when we got there, all the old cats had already been adopted, and there were only two little kittens left.
Both were small, fluffy, and a bit awkward; their paws were larger than normal size. They were playing while the volunteer explained that people were not adopting them because little kittens require more care, and they didn't want to take on that responsibility.
When the two were taken out of their cage, one little kitten came to my wife and sat in her lap, purring. The other cat came to me and rubbed its head against my leg, purring as well.
In that moment, we understood that perhaps these two wanted us.
Today, our house is filled with toys and the sounds of little kittens playing and meowing, bringing happiness back into our home.
